1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/8 tsp salt
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup dark rum
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp Real Jamaican Mixed Spice
Step 1. Whisk Real Jamaican Mixed Spice and rum set aside.
Step 2. In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, salt and condensed milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
Step 3. Stir in rum mixture and vanilla.
Tip!! This rich, buttery sauce is a great topping for Real Jamaican Fruit Cake. Pour it into a pretty jar with lid and store in the refrigerator. Reheat sauce before serving.
